ACIM Lesson 40: My Daily Reflection (blessed in the mess)
Blessed in the mess. Every day, something gets wonky or goes sideways. I can take the bait, or ignore it. That’s called picking your battles.

Peace, be still. Someone I know just got uninvited to the wedding of a mutual friend. ACIM + The Randomizer (Baby Jane, Skunk and the Eddie)
Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others.” Easy enough if you’re feeling safe and secure. Not so easy when people are rude or annoying.
Jesus asked, “Who does that sulking demon remind you of? How do you think you’re going to solve that demon’s problem? Or anyone’s problem?”
Complaining separates or joins: two men influenced me in the direction of Split Mind (misery) vs a happy kid who pushed me toward Unified Mind.
A toehold (a small opening) is neutral until the ego reminds you to add your experience. Holy Spirit finds you in Unified Mind neutral space.
You have no neutral thoughts. Neutral thoughts happen in neutral space, a place where you can let your guard down. Be still. Ignore the bait.
As a diagnostic tool, when prayers aren’t answered or you feel like your words are bouncing off walls, you’re in the wrong part of the Gap Diagram.
Today I offer proof that Holy Spirit speaks directly to me. First, he gave me an assignment. Then two teachers. And finally, the right tools.
The Split Mind in the Gap is the part of me that doesn’t understand anything I see in this room. Arrogance is a trap. Ego blocks Holy Spirit.
