Randomizer: Now that you have your 3 Code Words, what do you do with them?

Demon Spotting is designed to heal real emotions and old wounds.
So maybe your simple story isn’t as grim as the one I just created. Have fun with it! Let your beautiful mind surprise you. Meander until you think, “Wow! I haven’t thought of that in years.”
Those bends and curves lead you to the place where something or someone needs to be forgiven.
Then, write your simple story (just a couple of sentences) about the event. See if you can be the jungle cat watching the scene unfold, safely positioned on a sturdy branch, hidden from view by the lush foliage.
Get all the clues from the situation. Let it simmer. Be nice to yourself. Don’t pick a super-difficult situation that makes you angry. In the example above, if I change the context from “First time meeting his parents” to “Meeting him (or her) to pick up my kids”, actual fist-fights erupt. So, go easy.
Don’t sabotage your learning by making it too over-whelming to look at a situation.
When you heal, people around you heal too. That’s a worthy goal and a good reason to take time with your code words.
Allow Holy Spirit to meet you there. He whispers to you about this situation. Only you know what he means. And what he’s asking you to do.
Practice forgiving. Surrender that situation to Holy Spirit. Release yourself from having to remember.
Holding grievances? That’s the Vampire code word draining your resources, with unrestricted access, in the background of your daily life.
Stop allowing that. Switch from being the victim of (fill in the blank). Shift into being the HERO!
The Randomizer offers clues to who or what needs to be forgiven
Forgiving means whatever it means in the context of your situation.
- Doesn’t mean you have to trust them, unless you decide to do that.
- And it certainly doesn’t translate into making yourself spend time with them.
- It does mean you have to respect your boundaries… and theirs. That means stop gossiping about them. Stop repeating what they did. Everyone already knows. You’ve told the story often enough.
- Release yourself from the grip of holding the grievance against them. Look in another direction.
- All the time and energy you waste regurgitating your complaint, is time that could have been spent talking to Holy Spirit about your assignment.
- My assignment! What assignment? Since you don’t know, I rest my case. There’s only one person who can tell you that. The Holy Spirit.
Okay, enough reading. It’s time to spin the Randomizer!
By the way, I’ve chosen substack as the place to gather and chat. Instead of striving alone, come and join my community! Especially if you’re wrestling with questions or searching for clarity. Together, we can discover, uncover, and reclaim lost emotional territory.
