Day 41: Me and God. I’m peaceful whenever I allow God to go with me wherever I go. This means that Holy Spirit guides my steps, and helps with my decision-making.
My results are better when I surrender control to God.
But it wasn’t always that way.
I am worldly, just like you. I respect and follow the laws and rules, of course. Yet somehow, demons find their way into my mind. They are relentless.
Therefore, I make a daily choice to have a conversation with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit (Team Trinity) first.
ACIM Lesson 41: “Today’s idea, God goes with me wherever I go, will eventually overcome completely the sense of loneliness and abandonment, which all the separated ones experience. Depression is an inevitable consequence of separation. So are anxiety, worry, a deep sense of helplessness, misery, suffering, and intense fear of loss.“
2 Timothy 1:7 states that God did not give us a spirit of fear (or timidity),

This verse is often used to emphasize that fear
does not come from God, but that He provides
strength to overcome it.

Barging into my mind with swords and daggers, demons know the right buttons to push — to get a reaction from me.
When their plan works, it’s a disaster.
Once I allow myself to get tangled up, I disconnect from Team Trinity.
As soon as I step away, anxiety, fear, and shyness to the point of timidity (no courage) shows up.
This is so terrible.
Now, I’m in his demon territory (trapped!) — because I stepped away from God.
Consequently, I feel lonely because I’ve lost my life-line to peace and protection.

Pray for help! Put your Guardian Angel to work.

This is the perfect moment to call for back-up in the form of the Holy Trinity.
Because you won’t win these spiritual warfare battles through will power and ingenuity.
When Jesus shows up, demons flee!
As long as you choose to stand with Jesus, he helps you escape from the traps you willingly stepped into. Again and again and again.
