ACIM Lesson 32: My Daily Reflection (ugly on the inside)

Day 32: In this Paris Fashion Week video from yesterday (4 March 2026), some people knowingly accepted their demonic role. Others simply modeled weird clothes and make-up. But did the models realize they were opening doors and being recruited?

Saying yes… and then wondering why they feel miserable, defeated and disconnected.

Is this demonic-style in fashion now? Or is it a call to arms? Dress this way! Show your true colors. Express your ugly and miserable identity. More recruiting!

Or maybe I’m just assuming that they’re miserable? Maybe they’re happy-go-lucky little cherubs around their friends. Pfft! I’ll never know because I never want them anywhere near me.

Nevertheless, both receive a result. They are applauded, by some, with excitement, because they’re “so edgy”.

Meanwhile, the uninformed models are wondering why their world suddenly feels dark. Their anxiety is high, and their mood is miserable. Feelings of being a victim arise, and then, their misery is all they can talk about. Disconnected. Drinking too much, not eating enough, etc.

Hey! That stuff goes with the territory. You want to be a star, don’t you? It’s a trap!

To me, this looks like the seed of the next generation of people seeking identity in the wrong place.

You are either drawn to Satan or drawn to Jesus. There’s only two sides. Satan’s side wants to control your mind in the River of Shame.

Satan hates humans and wants to destroy our connection to Holy Spirit.

Please stop making it easy for him.

So let God work his will in you.
Yell a loud, "No!" to the Devil,
and watch him make himself scarce.
Say a quiet, "Yes!" to God,
and he’ll be there in no time.

Quit dabbling in sin.
Purify your inner life.
Quit playing the field.
Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out.
The fun and games are over.
Get serious, really serious.
Get down on your knees before the Master.
It’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.
James 4:7-10 MSG (The Message)

Yesterday’s ACIM lesson 31 taught that you are not a victim of the world you see. Today’s lesson 32 teaches that we are responsible for what we see in the world.

Going back to fashion week, if you dress in a repulsive way, then you can expect people to repel you. That is what cause and effect looks like. Dress to impress. You won! Or dress to depress. And lose. Your ego is running the show. Stimulus and response.

Now, ugly behavior is at the center of our attention.

So, maybe at some point in the future, we’ll see that the images I’ve created of demons (mixed with humans) for my Demon Spotting game, isn’t that far beyond the realm of reality. I created these images to give me an adversary (or opponent) to push away (or knock-out) whenever I hear whispers of the wrong kind in my head.

ACIM Lesson 32: “Today, we continue to develop the theme of cause and effect. You are not the victim of the world you see because you invented it. You can give it up as easily as you made it up. You’ll see it or not see it, as you wish. While you want it, you will see it. When you no longer want it, it will not be there for you to see.”

The lesson continues teaching that both your inner and outer worlds are in your imagination. The homework asks you to repeat the following sentence, and apply it to any situation or feelings that arise. “I have invented this situation as I see it.”

In the video for ACIM Lesson 32, Nouk brings up the topic of guilt, and Coreen says, “Yes, of course, that’s the ego sabotaging the process.” Then she laughs as she says about herself, “You did this to yourself. Why would you do this, you big dummy?”

Nouk continues, “We have to really be on it to catch that and realize that it’s the ego judging us, again. That’s not really our thought. It’s the ego’s thought.”

Coreen: “The ego uses it for judgment. Jesus says it’s an empowerment move. While you’re seeing it outside of yourself, you’re a slave to it. [Instead] bring it back into your mind, where it can be forgiven and healed. The Holy Spirit can’t heal it while you’ve got it protected outside of yourself. Bring it to Holy Spirit’s open, waiting, willing hands, which is in your mind [The River of Grace]. It’s a good thing [empowerment move], not a bad thing.”

Nouk: “So, it’s good to practice saying many times a day, whenever we are triggered by anybody or anything. Whether it comes from feeling unworthy or whether someone else is judging us, we should say, ‘The cause of this is in my mind, and I no longer want it’.”

Coreen: Yes, but you have to take accountability for it. You can’t see it and judge a brother, or blame the world for how they’re behaving. You’ve got to turn it, and say the trigger is mine. I’m upset, and I’ve invented what I’m upset about. If I invented it, then I must have the power to un-invent it. Right? Choose again!”

Nouk: Choose again and then offer it to the Holy Spirit, and accept the correction. That’s the assignment.”

    Coreen: “This is great news!”

After listening to today’s video lesson, take a look at the Youtube video description section. Lots of free (and paid) resources and classes taught by Nouk and Coreen are listed there.
