Who do you share your mind with? God is in my mind. Unless I want to do something He doesn’t need to see.
Day 30: God is in my mind. As an exercise in boldness, I invite you to practice saying this verse from Matthew 10:40 (NLT). Jesus is speaking to his 12 disciples before sending them out on their mission. “Anyone who receives you, receives me. And anyone who receives me, receives the Father who sent me.”
Extra credit for boldness by adding your name like this: “Anyone who receives [your name here], receives Jesus. And anyone who receives Jesus, receives the Father who sent him.”
LOCATION MATTERS: Jesus is in your mind. Declare to yourself that this is true by repeating this verse, with your name inserted, out loud, at least once an hour. Because everywhere you go, God is in your mind.
And you get more than just Jesus when you become a believer. The Holy Spirit lives in you at the moment of your salvation.
Salvation happens when you repent for your sins (open to learning), declare your belief in Jesus, and say, out loud, that Jesus died for our sins, and then rose again. Now, you are controlled (protected and guided) by Holy Spirit, instead of by your old sinful nature.
The Holy Spirit is available to everyone on Earth. However, he must be invited in by you. If you are stuck in the River of Shame, praying for help draws Holy Spirit towards you. He helps guide you towards an exit. It’s always best to take his advice… even if your exit is covered with brambles due to your past behavior.
