Demon Spotting: Improve pattern recognition and remove interference
Demons and witches interfere with us to prevent us from hearing God’s voice. Demon Spotting is a framework I created to reveal what you’re missing in conversations that allows them to get away with this.

Demons, and their human accomplices (witches), use these patterns to weave spells to control your mind. Their manipulations transition you into psychological traps. These traps are difficult to escape from without help.
You won’t free yourself by yourself.
Generational Curses
Demons have permission to punish you in this way because of the agreements our ancestors made when they wanted help. Instead of reaching for God (Yahweh), they turned to their friendly and always available, neighborhood demons for advice and assistance.
The Angel of Yahweh Rebukes Israel
The Angel of Yahweh went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said to the people: "I rescued you from Egypt and brought you into the land I had promised to your ancestors. I said, ‘I will never, never break my covenant with you, and you are never, never to make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You must tear down their altars to their false gods![demons]’
But you have not listened to my voice [disobedient mortals]. See what you have done!
Therefore, listen to what I’m telling you. I won’t drive them out before you. Instead, they will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will become a trap for you!”
Judges 2:1-3 TPT
Demon Spotting: Create Order From Chaos
I teach how to create order from the chaos in our minds, escape the traps you’ve fallen into, and open tiny, quiet gaps that God can speak into. You practice listening and hearing how God speaks to you. He speaks to you using your experience and memories to help you understand his messages to you.
When I published my book, Diary of a Demon Spotter, in April 2024, there weren’t any references to the phrase “demon spotting” on Google. I coined the phrase so I wasn’t surprised there was nothing there.
But now, a year later, there’s an AI definition of Demon Spotting (jump to it here).
Something I noticed: AI captured the essence of Demon Spotting, but completely avoids any mention of help from above. Types of demons are mentioned, but Team Trinity (Jesus, Holy Spirit and our Heavenly Father) are completely left out.
Why I started Demon Spotting
I started this blog, demonspotting.com to support the book, but then stopped working on it because I felt like I was the first one to arrive at an empty table. My courage waned as I wondered, “Am I the only one who sees these patterns? Is anyone going to listen to me? Do I have the authority to share this message?”
I struggled to find a church, group or community that would reflect back to me the things that Holy Spirit and Jesus were teaching me about demons and the Spiritual Realm. People said that we have authority over demons and that we should rebuke evil spirits.
I felt like they were saying that I should shout something down (like the walls of Jericho), but it didn’t feel like shouting was enough to shift a demon away from me. In Jericho, the people had a plan and support from above. They weren’t alone.
Jesus said, "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you."
Luke 10:19 ESV
I thought you said I was safe!
Actually , believing that I have the ability to push back on demons and make them leave without harming me requires more than a nice person from church (and Jesus) reassuring me that I can. I need structure, frameworks and a role to stand in with a title, like Chief Demon Spotter, for instance.
Luckily, Jesus understands that about me. He started a project with me that includes martial arts training and the creation of Code Words to help me dissect what people say and how they behave. Everyone has patterns that offer clues. Demon Spotting was born out of this experience.
Down the rabbit hole I go
Since then, I’ve spent the last year listening to Delafe Testimonies on Youtube where people share their life stories and give specific details of how Jesus and the Holy Spirit speaks to them and intervenes in their lives. It’s endlessly fascinating. I listen every week. Each person’s experience of seeing or speaking with Jesus reveals his patience and love for us.
Testimony by Richard Lorenzo: From Demonic Warlock in Training to Following JESUS! 🤯

- I found podcasts of women who used to be New Age. They explained how they followed demons and witches without realizing it;
- people who used to be witches, but switched to Team Trinity;
- Pastors doing deliverance,
- a man who sees angels and demons (Micah Turnbo),
- a Buddhist Monk, Shi Heng Yi, who uses his martial arts training to break bricks (fierce) but also exudes the gifts of the Spirit (even though he probably hasn’t said the Salvation Prayer);
- and deep thinkers, like Taylor Welch, who interviews the most interesting people, discussing all sorts of things that I want to learn about the Spiritual Realm.
I plan to revisit some of my favorite episodes and break the conversations into clips that I can review in blog posts. I need to digest this new info in bite-size chunks. Otherwise, it’s just an overwhelming flow of words.
I do church online
During Covid, I started listening to Transformation Church out of Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike Todd. The members of the church have a mission: “To re-present God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ.”
I believe my Demon Spotting framework reflects that mission. I write to explain how to remove interference from demons so you can hear from Jesus and speak to him directly. Even if you’ve never been to church.
No one knows me at Transformation Church. I was in a small group online for a season. I loved it! My Demon Spotting work is not connected to Transformation Church. I watch sermons online. I’ve never visited the church in person. So, please don’t blame them if you don’t like what I say. They are not responsible for me. I am not governed by them, but they do influence my faith.
I watch bible study classes from Lakewood Church (since 2016) and Transformation Church (since 2021).
I want to learn more about the spiritual realm to help me synthesize my world view through the lens of my DramaGuru Code Words.
I didn’t grow up in a church family. I went to church as a teenager (without my parents) on a military base in Germany.
When I was five years of age, my mother was very ill (and had no money). So, I had to spend a few weeks in a Salvation Army Children’s Home and also at a place called The Haven which was run by Church of England protestant nuns in (or near) London, England during the ’60s. At my primary school, we had morning assembly, where we sang hymns and recited the Lord’s prayer.
As I grew up, it wasn’t unusual for me to see angels, and sometimes ghosts. I heard Spirit’s voice in my head, but had no idea who was talking to me. Now, I hear, but don’t see. I’d like to see, but I think I would jump out of my skin if I saw something in the spirit realm.
Please, Holy Spirit, give me a nudge before you adjust my eyes so I can see!
I want Micah Turnbo to teach me how to see angels and demons without reflexively disbelieving and disconnecting. I like tangible evidence. I used to see. I want to see them again.
The constant flow of revelation has positively impacted me. I feel confident to speak freely and offer encouragement to anyone who wants to disrupt the interference that witches and demons have over their thoughts, actions and emotions.
Demon Spotting Explained by AI
AI was just busting out of the box this time last year. ChatGPT started and then AI sprouted everywhere! So now, in June 2025, with the magic of AI (gobbling up my words and spitting them back out in a nice format), I think the following Demon Spotting Google search explanation sums it up nicely. Plus, I like that my book shows up next to the explanation. Well done, Google AI.
“Demon spotting” in a broader context refers to recognizing and understanding negative behavioral patterns in ourselves or others, similar to the concept of identifying and addressing “inner demons”.
Demon Spotting is about developing pattern recognition skills to avoid emotional traps and improve relationships, especially when dealing with disrespectful or manipulative behaviors.
In a more literal sense, demon spotting can also refer to the belief in or the experience of supernatural entities, such as succubi, or night hags, who are believed to be malevolent beings.
Behavioral Pattern Recognition (“Demon Spotting” as a Metaphor):
- Identifying Patterns: “Demon spotting” in this context involves recognizing recurring negative behaviors, such as manipulative tactics or disrespectful actions.
- Understanding Triggers: Understand the underlying reasons why someone might be engaging in these behaviors and how these patterns can create emotional traps.
- Improving Relationships: By recognizing these patterns, you can learn to better navigate relationships, avoid becoming emotionally hurt, and potentially help others break free from these patterns.
AI can summarize, but it can’t express the emotional connection between God and Man.
Demon Spotting Clue: If the idea sounds regular, like something you would do anyway, then it didn’t come from God. When a demon wants to convince you to do something or believe something, they will use sugar (approval) or salt (criticism) to get their way. They act friendly, but they hate you. You’ve met humans who act like them before. Don’t be fooled!
An interesting parallel: Demons can only copy or distort, they can’t create anything new. Only Team Trinity can whisper ideas and plans that make you say, “Wow! I would have never thought of doing it that way. Thank you!”
DramaGuru Academy is here to teach you how to navigate the situations in your life. Through Demon Spotting lessons, we reveal the patterns of any demon who is interfering with you and your loved ones. We show you how to stare those demons down as you advance confidently from the First Heaven, through the Second Heaven, towards the Third Kingdom of Heaven.
