ACIM Lesson 22: My Daily Reflection (sulking)
Jesus asked, “Who does that sulking demon remind you of? How do you think you’re going to solve that demon’s problem? Or anyone’s problem?”
Wise King Solomon, who wrote the Book of Proverbs in the Bible, personified the Holy Spirit as a woman, and named her Lady Wisdom.
Holy Spirit doesn’t have a body. So, in fact, Spirit isn’t male or female. But if it helps you to put a face with a name, this is the face I’ve chosen (see below).

Solomon gave Wisdom a platform to offer guidance to humans through proverbs.
When Wisdom (Holy Spirit) wants to talk to people who aren’t listening, she often chooses someone she trusts to pass the message along.
Proverbs are basically things that you learn from experience. Since the advice is beneficial, people repeat them to remind themselves and others to stay on the straight and narrow.
Just as importantly, but more often missed, proverbs caution people to avoid falling into TRAPS!
Once bitten, twice shy.
Like an experienced parent, Wisdom is welcoming, nurturing and gentle. But, when the kids mess up, the opposite is also true.
Wisdom tells it like it is, “You did not follow my advice and did not listen when I corrected you. So, I will laugh when you are in trouble. I will make fun when disaster strikes you.” Proverbs 1: 25-26
Max Lucado says, “Whereas Psalms tells you how to get along with God, Proverbs tells you how to get along with people.” Inspirational Study Bible
Jesus asked, “Who does that sulking demon remind you of? How do you think you’re going to solve that demon’s problem? Or anyone’s problem?”
Epstein: Demons and witches are weakening official agreements previously built with respect, trust and honor. Focus on Jesus in the River of Grace or disconnect?
I hear Holy Spirit speaking to me differently from how I hear people talking to me. Next, I want to see things from the realm where Spirit is.
River of Grace (Unified Zone): Placing God, respect and faith at the center causes people to re-evaluate their relationship and make changes with encouragement.
Complaining separates or joins: two men influenced me in the direction of Split Mind (misery) vs a happy kid who pushed me toward Unified Mind.
A toehold (a small opening) is neutral until the ego reminds you to add your experience. Holy Spirit finds you in Unified Mind neutral space.
Prayer works. However, prayer sometimes needs a boost. I believe cancer lives in the busy split mind space. Turn toward Jesus. Close that gap
But I was fooled! Now, I understand that it’s better to keep my focus on Holy Spirit and to ignore my ego with its criticism and complaints.
Resistance: Compete with God and lose. You might as well surrender early. No, it won’t be comfortable. Your ego-identity dies. End of story.
Judging, the ego questions whether things are good or bad. The truth is, things are neutral. Is this a key to seeing into your blind spot?
