#4 – Sticky Things Demon Passion Whispers to You: “Wow! He looks good, doesn’t he? You’ve been working hard. It’s time for your reward. You deserve to have what you want whenever you want it. No one needs to know. Your business is your business. I’ll keep your secrets. We’re a good team. I’ve got your back. Go for it! I know you said you would stop. But you can get back on track anytime you want. You’re strong-willed. You know you can stop anytime you want. But you really don’t want to stop, do you? I’ll warn you if anyone comes to interfere. Go on, do it!”
ARE YOU CAUGHT IN A TRAP?
WHAT ROLE DOES PASSION (LUST) PLAY IN THE SITUATION YOU’RE CURIOUS ABOUT TODAY?
In the language of combat sports like mixed martial arts (MMA), the behaviors listed below are defined as TRANSITIONS. To improve his or her position in a fight, a fighter adjusts to force his opponent to move in a direction that will eventually end in a trap. In this case, the demon influencer weakens you by reminding you of how delicious and satisfying the thing you’re addicted to or passionate about is going to taste or feel. All day, all night, whispering into your ear on repeat. Her relentless seduction finally breaks your will and you’re in the trap…again.
DEFINITION: Predatory focus and intense desire for a person, an activity, work, money, food, power, etc.
- I’m obsessed! I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m distracted and can’t focus on anything else.
- I’m ignoring my spouse because of my distraction.
- I get angry and impatient when someone interrupts me or tries to stop me from pursuing my passion.
- Some people are avoiding me because they know I’m breaking the rules and not keeping my word.
- Lusting after people and things makes me feel alive! I feel my passion rising and my blood racing.
- I’m focused and my attention is sharp when the subject (like power) or the object (a person) is within reach or accessible online.
- Passion motivates me. I feel alert and creative.
- My ability to manipulate people is improving with practice.
- I will fight whoever gets in the way of what I desire.
- Yes, it’s true what you say. I am selfish, arrogant and proud. I want what I want when I want it.
The Opposite of Passion (Lust) is Respect
When you feel respected, you feel balanced, connected and calm. You don’t have to defend or protect yourself. Respect yourself first!
Each Demon Angel represents a set of behaviors. Their job is to influence you away from calm, neutral and centered. They disorganize your thinking (gaslighting) and shift you to feeling upset, disconnected and on the opposite side of someone.
What role does this demon’s passionate encouragement play in the situation that you are analyzing?
Notice that respect is the exact opposite of how the demon is influencing the situation. Demon Angels do not respect you. Their primary focus is to distract and confuse you. Because you crave the thing you’re passionate about, this demon has a very strong hold over you (like an addiction). You think you’re in control. But the demon knows just what to say to lead you in the wrong direction.

- What would have to change to improve your situation? Is something or someone supporting this behavior and allowing you or another person to get away with it? Or are you allowing yourself to be pushed around by a demon influencer?
