His Anger, Her Peace
She looked at Paul first. She wondered if anything had changed about him. Life for her was night and day different. Over the last 12 weeks, she no longer stifled herself allowing Paul to take over the space.
And then something shifted.
She felt something loosen in her chest. The tightness quietly released. At that moment, she chose peace instead of anger.
Day 34: Choose peace. Today’s ACIM lesson 34 is an invitation to practice a discipline called, “Choose peace instead of __________ (my usual upset, anger, frustration, acting like a victim, etc.)”
Practice daily with every interaction that shifts your mood downwards, including everything you see online, when you’re driving, shopping or walking your dog. Those ego thoughts dance in and out so quickly.
Be vigilant, Demon Spotters!
Locate yourself in the River of Grace and you will find yourself clinking your wine glass with your ex-boyfriend (or girlfriend), even if all he can do is raise a knife to clink with you.
