God did not create a meaningless world. ACIM Lesson 14
Day 14: God didn’t create fear (a meaningless world), so who did? If God didn’t create this world I see, then who did? How did it happen?
According to A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 14, it looks like my ego and I created this meaningless world that I see based on my experiences.
Even now, I am often fooled by my ego.
But I was fooled! Now, I understand that it’s better for me to keep my focus on the Unified Mind with Holy Spirit and to ignore my ego with its criticism and complaints.
Step towards Holy Spirit. Try having a chat with him, right now.
Today’s lesson aims to loosen your grip on what you know to be true about the reality of the things you see.
Let’s return to the Gap Diagram. The Split Mind of the Gap Diagram illustrates the space where people come together and create agreements around what’s wrong and what’s right.
The list inside the Split Mind includes:
- creating separate agendas with people and then getting mad because they don’t match.
- the need to be right.
- pride and arrogance, controlling and dominating behavior.
- believing that a relationship with God (Jesus and Holy Spirit) is unnecessary (or fantasy)
Don’t be fooled! Escape the trap of the Split Mind.
How to stop being fooled by your ego? Change your point of view.
The opposite of love is fear. So, in order to pull us away from LOVE, the ego terrifies us with our history of things done wrong. Either accidental or on purpose, the deeds still haunt us. They color our world view and keep us small. They trap us and keep us exactly where the ego wants us.
And worse, these thoughts, running unconstrained in our heads, block us from receiving guidance from Holy Spirit. We are fooled!
When Coreen hides the split mind space in the diagram (see image below), the Unified Mind becomes available. You have a clear channel to speak to and hear from Holy Spirit.
And what you hear from Holy Spirit is TRUE. It’s always love, not fear.
